At a young age his family moved to a farm northwest of Scandia.
He married Ruby Anderson December 29,1909. They had one son, Richard.
Charles was an employee with the municipal light plant in Fort Collins until his retirement.
He was a member of the First Methodist Church and had received his 50 year in 1965 from the Masonic Lodge in Scandia.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife; his son, Richard and his sister, Millie Erickson.
Survivors include: daughter-in-law Mrs. Richard Othberg; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held in Riverview Cemetery, Scandia.
