OBITUARY:
LEONE R. FITZ, 88, of 14324 Harbaugh Church Road, Waynesboro, died Thursday, Jan. 15 at the Manorcare Nursing Home, Chambersburg.

Born April 26, 1915, near Zora, Liberty Township, Adams County, she was the daughter of the late Jacob A. and Ruth A. Harbaugh Martin. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, John W. Fitz Jr., who died Oct. 18, 1997.

Mrs. Fitz attended school in Smithsburg, Md. Early in her life, Mrs. Fitz worked for J.J. Newberry's of Waynesboro and then for Norman Dayholf Packing House, Edgemont, Md. as a packer. She was a former member of the Harbaugh Reformed Church, Rouzerville and a current member of the Incarnation Church of Christ in Emmitsburg, Md. and the Women's Guild of the church.

She is survived by one son, Richard W. Fitz of Chambersburg; four grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Beulah Mentzer and Cleo Martin, both of Waynesboro; and two brothers, Earl Martin of Greencastle and Clyde H. Martin of Carroll Valley.

She was pre-deceased by one son, Kenneth L. Fitz, who died Sept. 22, 1997; her twin brother, Leroy Martin and another brother, Gilbert Martin; and one sister, Letha Martin.

Funeral services will be on Monday, Jan. 19 at the Harbaugh Reformed Church, Harbaugh Church Road, Rouzerville, with the Rev. Theodore E. Haas officiating: Interment will be in the Harbaugh Church Cemetery, Rouzerville.

The family will receive friends at the Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro, on Sunday, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Incarnation Church of Christ, P.O. Box 255, Emmitsburg, Md. 21727.
