WINNECONNE -- Rev. Paul Lueders of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Oshkosh, will officiate at services at 2 p.m. Friday at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne, for Cyrus Benedict, 61, of Butte des Morts, who died at Mercy Hospital, Oshkosh, at 12:15 a.m. Tuesday.
He suffered a heart attack a week ago.
Mr. Benedict was born in Butte des Morts Feb. 12, 1904, and was a marsh trapper all his life. He also served as a guide on occasions.
Survivors are his widow, the former Pearl Huntington, whom he married Feb 21, 1927, and one daughter, Mrs. Marion Braasch, Omro; four sons, T.Sgt Delos H. Benedict, Castle Air Force Base, Atwater, Calif., Sp 5 William O., with the Army at Frankfurt, Germany, Robert, Marinette, and Dan, at home; two brothers, Raymond, Butte des Morts, and Warren, San Francisco, and three sisters, Mrs. Clara Perry and Mrs. Lavina Schneider, both of Oshkosh, and Mrs. Vivian Starkey, Omro.
