WINNECONNE, Wis (Special) -- Mrs Margaret Irene Sweeney, 50, a former resident of Butte des Morts, died suddenly at Johnson Emergency Hospital, Milwaukee, Sunday, after suffering a heart attack. She had been a resident of Milwaukee the past few years.
She was born in Butte des Morts Dec 15, 1902, and attended school there. She was married to Frank Sweeney in 1918. They lived in Westchester County, NY for a number of years. Mrs. Sweeney returned to Butte des Morts 17 years ago and lived there until a few years ago when she went to Milwaukee to live with a daughter.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Margaret Loker, Milwaukee, Mrs. Marion Moore, Miami, Fla., Mrs. Frances Johnson, Bay Village, Ohio, and Mrs. Sara Toomey, Jackson Heights, NY, three sons, William, Jacksonville, Fla., Frank, Washington D.C., and Raymond, Milwaukee; four brothers, George, Cy, Raymond, and Warren Benedict, all of Butte des Morts; five sisters, Mrs. Clara Perry, Toledo, O., Mrs. Mary Bosick, Canada, Mrs. Vivian Starkey, New Mexico, and Mrs. Lavina Schneider and Mrs. Lillian Hunt, both of Oshkosh, and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Mueller Funeral Home chapel at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev Frank Harris, pastor of the Winneconne Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Bell Cemetery.
The remains will lie in state at the Mueller Funeral Home where friends may call Tuesday afternoon and evening and Wednesday until the hour of services.
