KLINGERSTOWN -- James G. Oxenrider, 89, of Klingerstown RR 1, died Tuesday in the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was a retired farmer and mason tender; attended Leck Kill schools; and was a member of Christ United Church of Christ Church, Leck Kill, Klingerstown Fire Company, Mahantongo Fire Company, Pitman, and Laborers Union Local 1180, Harrisburg. He liked dogs and enjoyed small-game hunting and raising fruits and vegetables.
Surviving are his wife, Emma H. Sherry Oxenrider; a son, James D. Sr. of Pitman RR 1; a stepson, Charles S. Harner of Halifax; four sisters, Eleanor Rebuck of Herndon RR 1, Elsie Waters of Gratz, Helen Schreffler of Rebuck and Nancy Wetzel of Williamstown; three brothers, Almond of Klingerstown RR 1, Mark of Herndon RR 1 and Carl of Dornsife RR 1; five grandchildren; two stepgranddaughters; six great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingerstown RR 1. Burial will be in St. John's Reformed Cemetery, Leck Kill.
