DORNSIFE -- Edna P. Stiely, 89, of Dornsife RR 1, formerly of Sacramento, Pa., died Tuesday [4 July 2000] at home.
She attended Upper Mahanoy Twp. schools; enjoyed raising flowers and reading the Bible; was a member of Christ United Church of Christ Church, Leck Kill, and a former member of its Ladies Aid; and a member of Herndon Area Senior Citizens.
She was the widow of Ira S. Tobias and Allen Stiely. Surviving are three sons, Merl J. Tobias of Palmyra, John R. Tobias of Gratz and Marvin I. Tobias of Pitman RR 1; three daughters, Betty L. Paul of Rebuck, Martha E. Edrman of Herndon and Mary P. Snyder of Dornsife RR 1; four sisters, Eleanor Rebuck of Herndon RR 1, Elsie Waters of Gratz, Helen Schreffler of Rebuck and Nancy Wetzel of Williamstown; five brothers, James and Almond Oxenrider, both of Klingerstown RR 1, John Oxenrider of Millersburg, Mark Oxenrider of Herndon RR 1 and Carl Oxenrider of Dornsife RR 1; 10 grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 13 step-great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday [8 July 2000] in her church. Burial will be in St. John Reformed Cemetery, Leck Kill.
Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingerstown RR 1, and 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday in the church.
Memorial donations may be made to Sun Home Health Hospice, 61 Duke St., P.O. Box 232, Northumberland 17857-9985, or the memorial fund of her church, Leck Kill 17836.
