Samuel Earl Chivington, age 81, passed away Saturday evening, February 8, 1975, at the Saginaw General Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan, after a short illness. He was born March 27, 1893, in Paulding County, Ohio. He married Miss Ethel Roberts on April 22, 1916.
Funeral services will take place at 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday, at the Taylor Funeral Home in Freeland, Michigan, with the Reverend Richard Lobb officiating and interment will be in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Saginaw (Saginaw County), Michigan.
Friends may call the after 7:00 P.M. on Monday. Those who so desire may make memorials to the Cancer Fund.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel; one son, Donald L. Chivington and one daughter, Mrs. Jesse (Lila) McCulloch, of Ishpheming, Michigan; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Dallas E. Chivington, of Alma (Gratiot County), Michigan and one sister, Mrs. Marie Gilbert, of Mason (Ingham County), Michigan.
