Henry (Hank) Livermont was born on September 11, 1908. He was involved in the family ranch in southeastern Bennett County until he and his brother Buddy enlisted in the Navy during World War II. After his discharge, he married Helen Tibbets and moved to Wanblee to continue ranching with his brothers.
He had six living brothers, Joe, Lester, Francis, Jim, Lawrence (Buddy), and John. His three sisters were Genevieve Jones, Isabelle Babby, and Eileen Hampton. A brother Glen died as a baby.
He lost his life in a grain bin accident near Wanblee, on September 7th, just four days before his 49th birthday.
