Services for Bill Hennington will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Roosevelt First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Thompson officiating.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. (CDT) in Memory Gardens in Hobbs, N.M., under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors.

He died Thursday, May 13, 1999, at Covenant Lakeside.

He was born Jan. 9, 1931, in Lovington, N.M. He married Peggy Hooper on Dec. 27, 1949, in Hobbs, N.M. He worked as a mechanic in Hobbs. He was a contract pumper in the Lubbock area for several major oil companies, retiring in 1993. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by a brother, T.C. Hennington, and two sisters, Viola Bynum and Geneva Pruit.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Gary of Ransom Canyon; a daughter, La Dona Hennington of Lubbock; three brothers, Glen of Lubbock, Floyd of Hobbs and Earl of Cisco; five sisters, Juanita Frith of Waco, Doris Parum of Hobbs, Lorene Blanton of Rockport, Leona Brackeen of Hermleigh and Pat Carwile of Robert Lee; and three grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to a favorite charity.
