NEW HOME (Special)Services for Geneva Pruit, 82, of Crosbyton will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in New Home Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Hancock of Lubbock and the Rev. Les Griffin, pastor of Crosbyton First Baptist Church, officiating.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Afton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

She died Monday, Dec. 15, 1997, in Crosbyton Care Center.

She was born May 20, 1915, in Lea County, N.M. She married Buck Pruit on Sept. 10, 1935, in Lovington, N.M. He died July 12, 1985. She was a member of New Home Baptist Church. She moved to Crosbyton from Deming N.M., in 1986.

Survivors include a son, Morris of New Home; a daughter, Allene Hughes of Afton; four brothers, Glen Hennington and Bill Hennington, both of Lubbock, F.O. Hennington, Jr. of Hobbs, N.M., and Wayne Hennington of Cisco; five sisters, Juanita Stanford of Waco, Lorene Blanton of Rockport, Doris Parum of Hobbs, N.M., Leona Brackeen of Hermleigh and Patsy Carwile of San Angelo; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
