Island Falls - Doris "Bunny" York 83, passed away July 13, 2014 at a local hospital. She was born November 17, 1930 at Crystal, the daughter of Ray and Iva (Desmond) Prescott.

Bunny was a homemaker and held jobs as a town clerk, waitress and did many different tasks for Katahdin Trust Company at their branches in Island Falls, Patten, Oakfield and Houlton.

She is survived by two daughters Mary Corey, Lynne Ryan and her husband Dana; two sons Thomas York, Jr. and his wife Suzanne, John York and his wife Cindy; Eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters Verna MacArthur and Hilda Clukey and her husband Albert; two sisters-in-law Jeanette Prescott and Susan Prescott; one brother-in-law Robert Mayer; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years Thomas O. York, Sr., a son David and grandchildren Mark and Butch Williams, siblings Marion Sewell, Dot Porter, Vivian Porter, Jane Anderson, Rita MacArthur, Hazel Stillings, Patricia Mayer, Kenneth Prescott, Raymond Prescott and Ronald Prescott.

Interment will be in the St. Agnes Cemetery. Gifts may be made in Bunny's memory to the Katahdin Public Library c/o Dunn Funeral Home 11 Park Street Houlton, 04730. (Bangor Daily News 7/15/2014 & Dunn Funeral Home)
