PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE - if you are asking for transfers, or asking questions / commenting about a specific memorial, please open the memorial and use the "Suggest other corrections". That will save contributors a lot of time and you will get your answers faster. Thanks.
Researching Edminster, Erskine, Walton, Winship families.
The Togus Medical Center, Togus Hospital, Togus Hospice, and Togus Springs are all in the town of Chelsea, Maine.
The enlistment/released dates on military memorials come from U.S., Department of Veterans Affairs BIRLS Death File, 1850-2010.
I was told by a military official to delete the rank prefix from most of the memorials I created. He said the military rank should only be used as a prefix if the person is on active duty at the time of death or served at least 20 years.
Please do not ask me to add transcriptions where the info already appears on the memorials in the bio section. There is no reason to duplicate the names & dates info. Find A Grave Support has confirmed:
The inscription field should only include information that is on the grave marker. Inscription is most often used for things like a quote, poem, marriage information or other details on the stone. Typically the other information such as name, birth and death dates are added into the fields on the memorial.
