Funeral services were held on last Friday, February 26, at 2:00 p.m. at the White Oak Pond Church for Mrs. Willie A. Davis, who died on February 23, at the age of 49 years, 10 months and 4 days.

The pastor, Rev. L. E. Baird, Paul Butler and J. E. Fike officiated at the services. Mrs. Helen Dennis furnished music for one hour preceding the service. The Hillme quartet, Kenneth, Bernard, Wilbur and Wayne Hillme, sang "My Jesus, As Thou Wilt," and "Near to the Heart of God." Wilbur Hillme sang a solo, "A Perfect Day," with Miss Gladys Hillme at the piano.

Funeral services were under the direction of the Holman Funeral Home and interment was in the White Oak Pond Cemetery. The escorts were Conrad Palmer, Kent Palmer, Hugh Palmer Jr., John Smith, James Luthy and Dallas Luthy. The honorary escorts were John Palmer, Duane Snow, Russell Luthy, Erwin Gadd, and David Grace.

Mrs. Davis, formerly Miss Cleva Faye Palmer, was a daughter of Dooley and Leslie Palmer and was born on April 19, 1910.
At the age of 11 years, she confessed Christ and united with the White Oak Pond Church. She later transferred her membership to the Washington Church, remaining a faithful member until her death.

On April 14,1929, she was united in marriage to Willie A. Davis and this union was blessed with two children.

She is survived by her husband, Wiilie A. Davis; a son Carl Jean Davis, and a daughter Mrs. Willa Faye Veile. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Vivian, Duane, Jean Ellen and Janice Viele, and Carla Davis; and her mother, Mrs. Leslie Palmer; six sisters, Mrs. Eppah Luthy, Lebanon; Mrs. Jessie Snow, Craig, Nebr.; Mrs. Nola Gadd, Lebanon; Mrs. Naomi Edwards, Lebanon; a twin sister Mrs. Neva Smith, Lebanon; Mrs. Hester Grace, Gas City, Indiana; four brothers, Hugh, Ray, Dooley and Floyd Palmer, all of Lebanon. She also leaves a large number of nieces and nephews all of whom attended the funeral.
