"...Erik Nielsen Jorgensen, son of Jorgen and Lena Jorgensen of ARO, Denmark, was born April 25, 1876. In 1900 he came to America. He had three brothers living in Kimballton and this is where he first farmed until he married Sidsel Marie Madsen on March 5, 1902.
Sidsel Marie, daughter of Hans and Margarete Madsen of Aro, Denmark, was born on May 29, 1881. She came to Kimballton in 1902 and was married shortly after.
Erik and Sidsel farmed in Douglas township six years. Erik Jorgensen received naturalization papers in 1920 at the age of 44. This made the whole family citizens of the U.S. Erik died October 5, 1950 and Sidsel died February 14, 1965..."

[The children of Erik and Sidsel were: Lena Christine, Anna Margarethe, Hans Peter, Hannah Elizabeth, and George Edward.
