After immigration to the United States in 1892, Bertha grew up in Stiles, and Oconto Falls, Wisconsin. On June 27, 1907 in Oconto Falls, at the age of 21 she married Archie Arthur Morris, son of Francis "Frank" Morris and Marguerite Amanda Laverdure Morris.
Bertha and Archie raised nine children and lived all of their lives in Oconto Falls. She died June 12, 1966 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Archie died May 11, 1961 in Oconto.
