Robert immigrated to the United States in 1892 with his parents and two siblings. He was only two years old at the time of arrival.
Rob grew up in Stiles and Oconto Falls, Wisconsin. On July 3, 1910 at the age of 20 he married Florence Lila Gerhardt Olson in Oconto Falls, at the home of her parents.
By 1920, Rob was employed by the paper mill in Oconto Falls, and he was there until his retirement.
He died on 20 Jan 1973 in Oconto Falls, Oconto, Wisconsin.
He was father to the following children:
