Aden B. Bland was born Sept. 28, 1881 in Bulloch County, Georgia, son of James and Rebecca E. (Bowen) Bland, both also born in Bulloch County, GA.

He is the brother of McCrone G. "M.G." (1866); William "W.B." Bird (1868); Daniel "Donnie" B. (1877); Macy Ann (1870); Susan L. (1872); Jincy (1875-1896); Daniel "Donnie" B. (1877), Lawrence Allen (1879); Elabee (1883), Lilly (1885) Bland and half-brother of Kidron (1896), James, Jr. (1903) and Gibsey (1906) Bland.

In 1902, Aden Bland married Margaret "Maggie" Jane Jones on Christmas Day. They were the parents of Hansell Elizabeth (1907); Anna Mae (1911) and twins, Earl (1914) and Ernestine (1914) Bland.

In 1905, Aden & Maggie Bland were living at 414 Montgomery St., Savannah, GA. He worked as a collector for the Dixie Trust Company. In 1907, they moved next door to 416 Montgomery St., Maggie's sister, Annie, was living with them. In 1908, Aden worked as a collector for M.K. Jones Furniture Company. In 1909, they moved again next door to 418 Montgomery St. In this year and location, their daughter, Hansell, died of carbolic acid poisoning. In 1920, the family lived at 605 West 44th St in Savannah, next door to Maggie Bland's sister, Mattie Brunson.

He had been a member of Solomon's Masonic Lodge, F. & A.M. In 1927 on account of ill health, Aden had to retire early from his work with the furniture company.

On Dec 29, 1927, Aden Bland, age 46, died of acute nephritis due to inflammation of the kidneys at his home in Savannah, Chatham County, GA. Arrangements were with Fox & Weeks Funeral Home, Savannah, GA. Funeral service was led by Rev. John Wilder of Calvary Baptist Temple of Savannah at the Corinth Baptist Church cemetery (a) near Brooklet in Bulloch County, Georgia.
