He is the brother of McCrone 'M. G.' (1866); Daniel "Donnie" B (1877); Macyan K (1870); Susan L (1872); Jincy (1875); Lawrence Allen (1879); Aden B; Elliot B (1883) and Lilly (1885) Bland. He is the half brother of Kidron (1896); James, Jr. (1903) and Gibsey (1906) Bland.
He married Margaret Elizabeth Kennedy.
On July 22, 1945, William Bird Bland, age 77, died in Bulloch County with burial in Lower Lotts Creek Church Cemetery, Statesboro, Bulloch County, Georgia.
