Jose Black was born in 1908 to Morley Larsen Black and Lydia Ellen (Nellie) Porter at the Mormon Colonies, Colonia Pacheco, Chihuahua, Mexico. Jose moved to California where he worked on a farm. Jose Black was working on a farm in California when his appendix ruptured. Jose died on the 10th of September 10, 1928 at Stockton California of Appendicitis. He was approx. 20 years old. The Family did not have enough money to send his body home for burial. Some kind people in California raised enough money to bring Jose's body home for burial. Jose was buried in the Sandy City Cemetery, Sandy City. Salt Lake County, Utah on Sept. 14, 1928.
