Albert "Elmer" Horn CEDAR BLUFF, Va. Albert "Elmer" Horn, age 73 of the Grays Branch section, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2010. Born Sept. 9, 1936, at Buchanan County, Va., he was the son of the late Letcher and Josie Addison Horn. He worked in the coal mines and retired from Long Airdox. He enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting and the outdoors. He attended the Claypool Hill Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Elden J. Horn; and one sister, Allene Strouth. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Carol Horn; two sons, Keith Horne and wife Terry of Bland and Gary D. Horne and wife Sandy of Cedar Bluff; one daughter, Pam Robbins of Cedar Bluff; two brothers, Ira Horn and wife Mavis of Cedar Bluff and Ted Horn and wife Phyllis of Pounding Mill; four sisters, Betty Warburton of Lebanon, Gaynelle Harman and husband Eugene of Cedar Bluff, Beatrice Kruckow and husband Rich of LaPlata, Md., and Ruby Rood and husband Larry of Lebanon; three grandchildren, Jeremy Harless of Bland, Heather Robbins of Maine and Jeremiah Albert Horne of Cedar Bluff; and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2010, at Singleton Funeral Service Chapel at Cedar Bluff, with Evangelist Bob Smith, and Mr. Keith Matney officiating. Burial will follow in the Horn-Addison Cemetery at Grays Branch, Cedar Bluff. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Singleton Funeral Service at Cedar Bluff.
