Barbara Jean "Bobbie" (Rainbolt) Barnhart of Grandview, Texas, passed away peacefully of natural causes in her sleep at home early Saturday.

She married Harold Max "Barney" Barnhart on Sept. 25, 1943, while Barney was in the Navy during World War II. They were married for 67 years. Though Barney died Nov. 17, 2010, Bobbie always referred to him in the present tense.

In 1958, this family became faithful members of the Church of Christ. Bobbie also volunteered her services in several organizations such as the Girl Scouts of America, the American Business Women's Association and Daughters of the American Revolution.

She had many friends and relatives who would describe her as being hospitable and loving. She was true to her beliefs and was a loving and forgiving person.

She was survived by one sister, of Bowie, Texas; daughter, of North Richland Hills; son and daughter both of Grandview; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held at the Covington Church of Christ. She was laid to rest next to Barney on Jan. 29 at the Poe Prairie Cemetery.
