Mettie Lucille (Rainbolt) McKay , 88 , passed away Thursday
At a Fort Worth hospital after a brief illness…..
Funeral : 1:30 PM Tuesday in the Greenwood Chapel..
Burial : Greenwood Memorial Park
Visitation : 6 – 8 PM Monday ….
Mettie Lucille was born January 3, 1915, in Terre Haute,
Indiana… in 1946 with her husband and three children, she
moved to River Oaks, where she lived for 58 years… She was a
long time nursey worker for River Oaks Baptist Church and also
worked at Monnig's Department store ….
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis McKay, a
volunteer firefighter for River Oaks, and a brick mason, an infant son,
Her parents, Luther and Dessie Rainbolt, brother Lawrence Rainbolt and
a sister, Juanita Slawson ….
Survivors ; Curtis N. McKay Jr. and wife, Lee, of Lake Worth, daughters,
Judith Ann Fyles and husband, Richard, of Webster, New York, Sharon
Beall and husband, Raymond of Richardson, brother, James Rainbolt of
Merrillville, Indiana ; sisters, Margaret Blythe of Boyd and Barbara
Barnhart of Grandview ; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren ;
numerous nieces and nephews ….
