James I. Rainbolt, age 83, of Merrillville, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at Methodist Southlake Campus. He was self employed as a painter. Member of American Legion Brunswick Post 485, and VFW 1563, located at 6880 Hendricks St., Merrillville where a memorial service will be held Sunday, April 4,, 2004. at 1 p.m. Survived by wife Donna; three sons: Ron (Donna) of Missouri, Michael (Suzanne) of St. John, IN and James (Diane) Rainbolt of Schererville; two daughters, Linda (Scott) Carey of Calumet City, IL and Cathleen (Tom) Scolaro of Merrillville, IN; 14 grandchildren: Ronda, Dawn, Reagan, Farren, Kimberly, Nathan, Kristee, Michael, Ryan, James, Craig, Alexa, Tommy and Jack; four great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters. Margaret Blythe and Bobbi Barnhart both of Texas. Many nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation held at the Rendina Funera l Home, 5100 Celveland, St. Merrillville. Cremation will take place prior to the Memorial Service at the VFW Post 1563 on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the family for a charity of their choice.
