Margaret never married and unfortunately was not well for some time before her untimely death n the early hours of May 16 1894. At the time she had been attended by Dr. McMahaon over a period of three to four weeks. Typhoid being one of the complications.

It is with regret that I have to chronicle the death of Margaret MacElroy, aged 25 years, daughter of Mr. Anthony MacElroy, of this town, and which event took place at an early hour this morning. The deceased was being attended by Dr. McMahon, and death resulted from pleurisy and other attendant complications.
