Clinton D. Thompson
ST. ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. - Clinton D. "Bucket" Thompson Sr., 68, of Zephyrhills, Fla., and formerly of Philipsburg RD, died at 11:20 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, 1998, at the East Pasco Medical Center, Zephyrhills.
Born Oct. 5, 1930, in West Decatur, he was a son of the late Charles and Lulu (McDowell) Thompson.
Mr. Thompson was a former owner and operator of T & T Clay and Coal Co. of Philipsburg for 40 years and the Clinton Thompson Trucking Co. He was Catholic by faith.
Mr. Thompson was a U.S. Army veteran, served in the Korean War. He was a member of the Philipsburg V.F.W. Post 3450 and the Lithuanian Club of Osceola Mills.
On Jan. 5, 1952, in West Decatur, he wed the former Martha Hrenko, who preceded him in death on Feb. 24,1988.
He is survived by a son and two daughters, Clinton D. Jr., Holly and Mary Beth, all of Philipsburg RD; three grandchildren, Dustin, Tabitha and Clinton D. Ill; a brother and two sisters, Ralph H. Thompson and Bernice Kolbe, both of Philipsburg RD, and Muriel Kyler of West Decatur; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters, Robert, Frederick, Bertis, Leo, Charles, Rowland, Leroy, Dorothy Hafer and Irene Watkins.
Services will be held at theconvenience of the family with the Rev. David L. Paulson
officiating. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Philipsburg Veterans organization.
Interment will be at Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde. There will be no public visitation.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 408 Stone St., Osceola Mills, Pa. 16666. The David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, Philipsburg, is in charge of the arrangements
