Debe S. High, 59, Kokomo, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 in her home. She was born in Kokomo, Indiana on August 8, 1954 to the late Rev. C. D. and Hazel (Acup) Blackburn. After attending school in Windfall, Indiana, Debe continued her education by studying cosmetology. Cosmetology was her passion; she was a Hair and Nail Instructor and owned her own salon, A Touch of Class, in Kokomo. As an instructor, she cared for her students immensely, and went the extra mile to see that they succeeded. In addition to working in the cosmetology field, Debe also worked at Delco where she retired after 25 years of service. Debe was very active with U.A.W. local 292 until she retired. She enjoyed working around the home with ceramics and crafts.

Debe is survived by her children, Joe (Robyn) High and Amber Nicole (Mike Goettsch) High Goettsch; her grandchildren, Joshua, Nathan, Bethany, Amanda and Beverly High, Sabrina High, Sebastian High-Goettsch, Chris Goettsch and Skyler High. Other survivors include siblings, Judi (Bob) Brown and Terry (Lisa) Blackburn; and a puppy, Chloe.

Debe was preceded in death by her parents; previous spouse of 15 years, Joe High Jr.; Brothers, Dale, Bob and Jerry Blackburn; Sister, Maxine Uslter; son-in-law, David C. Stewart, and several furry, four-legged children.

There will be a funeral service for Debe at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo, Indiana at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 with Rev.
