1949 - Mrs. Carrie L. (Miller) DeLong, 65, died Tuesday morning at her home, 126 Third St., East Greenville. Her husband, Fred M. DeLong, is employed at the East Greenville division of the Boyertown Burial Casket Co. Born in Long Swamp township, she was a daughter of the late Nathan and Sarah (Burkey) Miller. She was affiliated with the New Goshenhoppen Reformed church, East Greenville, and with the home department of the church Sunday school. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Arthur, at home; a daughter, Beatrice, wife of Vernon Hillegass, Red Hill; four brothers, John Miller, Hellertown; Amandus Miller, Boyertown; Howard Miller, Topton; and Ryan Miller, Mertztown; four sisters, Sarah, wife of Harry Schoedler, Mertztown; Clara, wife of Abraham Lehman, Topton; Bessie, wife of Robert Dease, Reading; and Jennie, wife of Frank Eisel, Morristown, N.J.; and four grandchildren.
