READING --- John A. Miller, formerly of Bethlehem, died here Wednesday at his home, 1225 Schuylkill Ave. He was 71. Miller had lived in Reading for the past 11 years. He was a retired employee of the Philadelphia, Bethlehem & New England Railroad. Born in Longswamp Township, Berks County, Miller was a son of the late Nathan and Sarah (Berkey) Miller. Surviving are his widow, Helen I. (Kneedler) Miller; four sisters, Jennie, wife of Frank Eisel, Morristown, N.J.; Bessie, wife of Robert Dease, Reading; Clara, wife of Abraham Lehman, Topton; and Mrs. Sarah Schoedler, Mertztown R. 1; three brothers, Amandus, of Fleetwood; and Howard and Ryan, both of Topton. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Earl a. Trexler Funeral Home, 25 E. Weiss St., Topton. Viewing will be 7-8:30 p.m. Friday.
