Emily Rae Corbett Allsop, 90, of grace, passed away Sunday, Dec 17,1989 at the Hillcrest Convelescent Center in Pocatello.
Mrs. Allsop was born Jan. 21, 1899 at Smithfield, Utah to William E. and Annie Christine Petersen Corbett. She married Albert (Brig) Allsop Jan. 2, 1925 at Pocatllo. He passed away July 29, 1983. They lived a short time in Buhl before returning to Grace.
She was educated in schools in Smithfield and Turner, and attended the Idaho Technical Institute at Pocatello. Prior to her marriage she worked as a legal secretary in Idaho Falls and as a bookkeeper for Equity Elevator and Trading Co., in Grace.
She was a member of the Grce LDS Third Ward. She loved music, art, literature and compilled histories of some of her family who were original settlers in the Turner area. Her records were accepted for the Idaho Historical Society Archives. As a young girl she served as the ward organist in Turner.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Harold C. Allsop of Downey, J. Lionel Allsop of Logan, Mrs. James (Evelyn) Twiss, Grace and Mrs. Michael (Sheila) Whitworth of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren; 17 Great-grandchidren; two brothers and three sisters, Dr. Glenn Corbett, Idaho Falls, Roy Crobett, Mildred Turner, Ethel Sorensen, all of Grace and Bernice Titus, Sahland, Oregon.
She was preceeded in death by one son, Monte, two brothers, Bill and Dan, and two sisters, Florence Panter and Irma Allsop.
