BOILING SPRINGS — Troy Durham Bridges, 88, died July 29, 2000, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center, Shelby.
He was a native of Cleveland County, son of the late Clarence Edgar and Bertha Jane Green Bridges, worked for the former Belmont Heritage Mill in textile quality control, member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church, Adult 3 Men's Class, charter member and past president of Belmont Optimist Club.

SURVIVORS: Wife of 63 years, Lillian Elizabeth Wix Bridges; daughters and son-in-law, Shirley Bridges, Boiling Springs, Jane and James Garrison, Savannah, Ga.; brother and sister-in-law, Clarence M. and Doris Bridges, Shelby; sisters and brother-in-law, Esther Bridges, Hessie and Thomas Harris, Boiling Springs, Nancy Tesseneer, Shelby; sisters-in-law, Annie Mae Bridges, Boiling Springs, Annette B.
