SHELBY - Mrs. Lillian Elizabeth Wix Bridges, 91, of Boiling Springs and formerly of Belmont, died Thursday, April 1, 2010, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.

A native of Greenwood, S.C., she was the daughter of the late William Edward and Harriet Elizabeth Rhymer Wix. She was a member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church, where she was active in Sunday school and W.M.U. She was a former member of First Baptist Church in Belmont. She also was a member of the Boiling Springs Extension Club. She was an excellent seamstress and loved doing handcrafts including embroidery and crocheting. She also shared a love of cooking with her husband. She loved and cherished her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Durham Bridges; four brothers; and one sister.

She is survived by her daughter, Shirley A. Bridges of Boiling Springs; daughter and son-in-law, Jane B. Garrison and husband, James, of Savannah, Ga.; grandchildren, Jim Garrison and wife, Kelly, of Atlanta, Ga., Joseph Garrison of Savannah, Ga., Will Garrison of Savannah, Ga., Wade Pack and wife, Wendy, of Kernersville and Elizabeth Pack of Boiling Springs; and great-grandchildren, Tripp and Tanner Garrison of Atlanta, Ga., and Johnathan and Ryan Pack of Kernersville.
