Michael is the son of Minos Talbot Sr. and Elizabeth Ann Johnson Gordy. Born and raised in Bayou Sale, LA, he married Mary Marguerite Hartman in 1891, and they had 9 children to my current knowledge and they are:

Annie Eleanor Gordy 1894–1927
Marguerite Clothilde Gordy 1895–1966
Minos Thomas Gordy Sr.* 1898–1956
Inez Gordy 1903–
Michael Albert Gordy Sr. 1904–1971
Preston John Gordy 1908–1971
Addie Mae Gordy 1909–1989
Edward Gordy 1910–
Stella Gordy 1911–2001

Marguerite died at their home in Franklin, LA on 29 Sep 1915. Michael married his 2nd wife Ella Mora it is estimated around 1919. She was b.1887 - d. 1972. They had four children to my knowledge and they are:

Winona E. Gordy 1921–1984
Joyce A. Gordy 1926–1982
Mina L. Gordy 1928–

Michael is my 2nd great uncle.
