ALBERT W. SCHROYER, 58, of Smithsburg, Rt.3, died Tuesday at his home. He had been in failing health since December.
He was born in Wolfsville and was a son of L. Calvin and Etta E. Palmer Schroyer. He lived his early life in the Wolfsville area. He was foreman of the Rinehart orchards near Ringgold and prior to that time had worked at Jacques Orchards near Cavetown.
He was a member of Pleasant Walk UB Church and attended Ringgold Union Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Helen Pryor Schroyer; the following children; Albert O. of Berryville, Va., Russell E. and Mrs. Clarence Beltz and Mrs. Terry Cantner, all of Waynesboro, Pa., Miss Ruth Schroyer, at home; step-son, David Barkdoll of Waynesboro; 13 grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Oscar Irving of Waynesboro, Mrs. Milo Dusing and Mrs. Wald Ridenhour, both of Boonsboro.
Services will be held Friday at 3:30 p.m. in St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Wolfsville. The Rev. Wayne Murphy and the Rev. Leroy Wastler will officiate; burial in adjoining church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Grove Funeral Home in Waynesboro, from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday and at the church one hour prior to the time of the service.
