ROCK HILL -- Mrs. Ruby Jane Lanning Hines, 87, of 315 Kuykendal St. died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005, at home.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Tom Tucker officiating. Burial will be at Laurelwood Cemetery.
A native of Asheville, N.C., Mrs. Hines was a daughter of the late Grover Lanning and Cora Bessie Crawford Lanning. She was previously employed by Highland Park and was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She was the widow of Paul Hines.
Surviving are sons, Paul Hines, Bobby Hines, Billy Hines and Clyde Hines ,all of Rock Hill, and Charlie Hines of Fisherville, Ky.; daughters, Geraldine Franklin and Joann Lemmons of Gastonia, N.C., Betty Carroll of York, and Alice Williams of Camden. She was also instrumental in raising two of her grandaughters Paula Mosier of York,and Lisa Nicula of McConnells; 32 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
In additon to her husband she was predeaced in death by her oldest daughter, Nellie Dorris Jane Hines.
