Daughter of Grover L. & Cora Bessie Crawford Lanning. Aunt Ruth died of ALS disease. She was twin sister to my grandmother, Ruby Jane Lanning Hines (Paul) of Rock Hill,SC, Mildred Lanning Lockridge (Roy) of York, SC, Paul Lanning of Homer GA. Predeceased in death by brother James Woodrow (Leicester, NC) Mae, Twins Elsie & Evert and Twins Mary & Martha. ( all buried at Corinth Baptist Cemetery in Leicester, NC.). Aunt Ruth was married to William (Jay) Fortner. She was also preceded in death by her son Jimmy and survived by her two daughters Vicky and Sadie.
