HE SLEEPS.
Jonas Hammer was born at Norway, Kansas, June 15, 1881, died Sept. 10, 1901, aged 20 years, 2 months and 26 days. He was a member of the Lutheran church, having been confirmed by Rev. Tossland, April 12, 1896.

Jonas was a merry bright faced boy, loved by all and will be sadly missed. Besides his father and mother he leaves three sisters: Carrie, Mrs. C. Ross of Kackley; Tena, Mrs. E. Estvedt of Norway and Anna, Mrs. J.R. Hugos of Norway, and four brothers, Ole, of Yuma and Peder, Lars and Alfred of Norway.

He was buried Wednesday noon, Rev. Maxell of Scandia and Rev. Daun of St. Louis conducting the services at the house, the church and the cemetery. A large crowd of friends followed the remains to their last resting place. A nice feature was that sixteen of Jonas' old school mates marched behind the hearse from the church to the cemetery.
