RUTLAND - Anna F. Arndt, 86, of Lida Home, Minonk, formerly of Rutland, died at 10 p.m. Monday (Feb. 4, 1991) at St. Mary's Hospital, Streator.
Her funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Church, Rutland, the Revs. Thomas Badovsky and Robert Gilles officiating. Burial will be in the Riley Cemetery, Rutland.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Aimone-Froelich Memorial Home, Toluca, where the rosary will be recited at 6 tonight.
Mrs. Arndt was born Jan. 29, 1905, in Toluca, a daughter of Gregory and Louise Burcar Stimac.
She married Henry G. Arndt June 7, 1924, in Rutland. He died Feb. 21, 1961.
Survivors include six sons,
Donald Arndt, Toluca;
John, Fred and William Arndt, all of Rutland;
James Arndt, Metamora;
and Thomas Arndt, Minonk;
six daughters,
Catherine Karasek, Waukegan;
Eva Carvish, Carol Blair, Mary Kerns and Barbara Arndt, all of Rutland;
and Patricia Franklin, Varna;
two brothers,
Gregory Stimac, Toluca,
and John Stimac, Streator;
three sisters,
Louise Peterson, Rockford;
and Agnes Baldwin and Caroline Baldwin, both of Toluca;
29 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
One daughter, one brother, four sisters and three grandchildren preceded her in death.
Mrs. Arndt was a member of Sacred Heart Church and a former member of the Altar and Rosary Society of the church.
She also was a former member of the Rutland American Legion Auxiliary.
Memorials may be made to her church, Lida Home or to the American Diabetes Association.
