Geneva Probst Cook, 95, passed away peacefully at home on May 14, 2013, knowing that her family's love surrounded her. She was born May 28, 1917 in Midway, Utah, the eleventh and youngest child of John Ulrich and Susanna Gertsch Probst.

Upon graduating from Wasatch High she attended Utah State University and later worked at Utah Valley Hospital. It was at this time she met her eternal companion, Ernil M. Cook. They were married on May 2, 1944 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Ernil passed away December 16, 1981. They lived in Cedar Fort, Utah, together they raised and nurtured a happy, loving family while working hard on the family farm.

Geneva was a wonderful cook and homemaker. She also enjoyed quilting and her quilts are treasured by each of her children and grandchildren. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church and served in many callings. She was a loving Bishop's wife for over 10 years, served as Relief Society President for many years and was a faithful temple ordinance worker. She will always be remembered for her optimistic outlook on life and her fun loving spirit. Geneva loved her family and her Heavenly Father and made them the centerpiece of her life.

She is survived by her five children; Larry (Marie) Cook, Calvin (Jeanine) Cook, both from Cedar Fort, Utah, Marvin (Jann) Cook, Lyman, Wy, Charlotte (Kerry) Davis, Centerville, Utah and Tamara (Richard) Hummel, West Point, Utah, 15 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, granddaughter, Venecsa Gasaway, parents and 10 brothers and sisters. We will forever remember her, with love.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cedar Valley Ward Chapel, 185 East Center Street. Family and friends may call Friday evening from 7-8:00 p.m. at Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main, Lehi, and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment, Cedar Fort Cemetery.

A special thanks to Kim, Kelly "Katy" and Jamie from Canyon Care Hospice for their tender loving care with Mom.
