Ara Barton Heath is the son of James and Jane Ayer Heath, he is the brother to Goretta Heath Campton and to Frances Clarise Heath White, they all came from Waldwick, Iowa County Wisconsin. Ara married Amy D Wheeler on Oct 28, 1891 Buena Vista County, IA and they had five daughters: Florence, Mildred, Stella, and twins Genevieve and Jeannette Heath.

After his wife Amy died in 1936, Ara remarried to Cora Lucille Maynard-Hittenmark.

ARA B. HEATH:
NEWELL - Ara B. Heath was born at Mineral Point, WI, November 17, 1868 and passed away May 16, 1953 at the age of 84 years and 6 months.

Mr. Heath came to Iowa at the age of 16 and has resided in this community since. He was married to Miss Amy Wheeler in 1891. To this union five daughters were born: Florence (Mrs. Harold James), Mildred (Mrs. C.B. Daniel) who preceded him in death, Stella (Mrs. C. W. Lage), Jeanette (Mrs. C.A. Drury) and Genevieve (Mrs. Axel Johansen). Mrs. Heath passed away in 1936.

In 1938 he was married to Mrs. Cora Hillenmark, who passed away in 1951.

Mr. Heath was the last of his immediate family of seven brothers and sisters, children of James and Jane Heath.

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, May 19 from the Larson Funeral Home, with Rev. Ronald Jespersen officiating.

Lyle Smith sang. Bearers were Ernest Buch, Albert Buch, Obid Barnes, Russell Johnson, Harry Rasmussen and Dennis Fyfe. Burial was in the Newell Cemetery.

Flowers were in charge of Mrs. Leon Rodda, Mrs LeRoy Knoll and Mrs. Hans Larson.
