SECOND DEATH IN FAMILY IN WEEK
J.W. HEAD, 14, SUCCUMBS TO TYPHOID-PNEUMONIA; HIS FATHER DIED LAST MONDAY
The second death in the same family resulting from typhoid and pneumonia fevers, was that of J.W. Head, 14-year-old son of Mrs. Wathen Head, of the West Louisville section, who passed away at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon [November 18, 1934]. Wathen Head, father of the youth, died last Monday, from a similar illness. Young Head, besides his mother, is survived by his grandparents, City Patrolman J. Leslie Head and Mrs. Head; and three brothers, Hayden Edward, Gene Noel and Bobbie Head; and three sisters, Marietta, Virginia & Ella B. Head. Funeral services were conducted at 4 o'clock this afternoon from St. Raphael's Catholic Church, with Rev. John J. Glenn, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
