Lois Olive Hunting, age 86, went to be with her loving Savior on Monday, August 1, 2011. Lois was born to Clead and Fannie (Housman) Stanton on December 29, 1924 in Austin, Minnesota. She received her education in Minnesota. On August 5, 1950,

Lois married John Hunting in Walla Walla, Washington. After their marriage the couple moved to Sunnyside and in 1952 they made their home in Grandview. Lois was a housewife and daycare provider for 10 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school classes and was the financial secretary for various committees. She was a member of the Grandview Women's Club and Orthopedic Guild. Lois loved to bake, entertain and work in her yard. One of her fondest memories was her 80th birthday party held at Whistling Jack Lodge with all of her children there to share in the celebration. Lois cherished time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Lois is survived by her loving husband John Hunting, her children Larry Allen Ruffin (Bernardita) of Kennewick, WA. Dan Lee Ruffin (Charlotte) of Grand Lake, CO and Michael Alvin Hunting (Anita) of Oak Harbor, WA. Ten grandchildren Zach Ruffin, Casey Paugh, Courtney Staley, Anne Rogers, Eric Mapa, Rybecca Ruffin, Aaron Hunting, Holly Albright, Titus Hunting, Brianna Hill, and 14 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 4 brothers Donald Stanton of Austin, MN Gerald Stanton of Minneapolis, MN, Loren Stanton of Austin, MN and Norman Stanton of Heartsdale, NY.

Lois was proceeded in death by her parents, an infant son Ronnie Ruffin, four brothers Glen, Dale, Wayne, Naurice and one sister Holly Young.

Viewing and visitation will be at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Grandview WA. Funeral Service will also be held at the Smith Funeral Home in Grandview, WA.
