Harry R. Frederick, 83, of 138 Michters Road, Newmanstown, formerly of Myerstown, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, at home. He was the husband of the late Verna Kahl Frederick.
Born May 5, 1921, in Ephrata, he was a son of the late Samuel G. and Mabel Rollman Frederick. He was employed as a carpenter for Swonger's Construction, Myerstown, for more than 33 years. He attended the Heidelberg Church of the Brethren, where he was active with the church cemetery for many years. A Navy veteran, he served during World War II.
Surviving are sons Daniel, husband of Judy Frederick, Harker Heights, Texas, and Timothy, husband of Deborah Frederick, Newmanstown; a daughter, Sally Ann Frederick, companion of Brenda L. Kress, Reading; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; sisters Betty Smith, Schaefferstown, and Muriel Hurst, Lebanon; and brothers Samuel, husband of Marian Frederick, Richland, and Willard Frederick, Lebanon. He was preceded in death by a grandchild. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from Heidelberg Church of the Brethren, Reistville Road, Myerstown. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. Monday until time of service. (Lebanon Daily News)
