Samuel G. Frederick, 80, of Richland died Monday, May 21, 2007, at the VA Medical Center, Lebanon, Pa. He was the husband of Marian E. (Schware) Frederick, to whom he was married 59 years on September 21. Born in Lititz, Pa., on March 14, 1927, son of the late Samuel G. and Mabel (Rolman) Frederick. Her served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked as a truck driver at Carlos R. Leffler Inc., Richland, Pa., for 24 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of Grace UCC Church, Richland, Pa. He was a lifetime member of the Neptune Fire Co., Richland, and enjoyed yard work, gardening and being with his family. In addition to h is wife he is survived by daughters, Roxann, widow of Mark Heisey of Myerstown, Rose Marie, wife of Marlin Hibshman of Lebanon, Rita, wife of William Hickernell of Richland, Rochelle, wife of Mark Zimmerman of Myerstown; Renee Frederick, fiance of Ronald Dannecker of Myerstown; sons, Samuel, husband of Cynthia Frederick of Marysville, Pa., Sheldon, husband of Theresa Frederick of Womelsdorf, Steven Frederick of Richland; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Smith of Schaefferstown and Muriel Hurst of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son Donald Linn Frederick in 1947. Services are private at the convenience of the family. A viewing will be held Thursday from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington, Ave., Myerstown, Pa. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 101, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
