Maud E. Bishop, 58, of 4940 Evanston Avenue, Indianapolis, died from complications at her home Sunday. She had been ill for three years.
Born in Boone County, August 27, 1899, she was the daughter of Christopher and Lucinda Stowers Payne. On May 5, 1923 she married Shirley C. Bishop, who survives at home.
She is also survived by a daughter, Mrs. Martha Hansel, of Indianapolis, and a granddaughter, Mary Ann Hansel; three sisters; Mrs. Cora McDonald, Mrs. Nora Pittinger, and Mrs. Betty Priest; three brothers; Carl Payne and William Payne; they are all of Kirklin.
Mrs. Bishop was a member of the Naomi Eastern Star.
