Eula was born in Travis County, Texas where her father was a farmer. After 1900 this family bought a farm three miles north of Round Rock, Williamson County, Texas on the main road running from Laredo to Dallas. Mr. Smith built a home where this family lived for over fifty years.
After the 1920 census Eula moved and lived with her Aunt Narcissus Simmons and their family while working. Eula Smith met Audrey Oliver Myrick while both were living in the area; they went to Tillman, Oklahoma where they married. Oklahoma Marriage Record No. 5227 Audrey Myrick of Snyder, Texas to Eula Smith of Snyder Texas. Marriage performed by Baptist Minister A. W. Stigler, Tillman, Frederick, Oklahoma on 06 October 1929. There are two sons born into this marriage: Wilbur Brandon Myrick and Frankel George Myrick.
