Daughter of William Russell Smith and Ellen Elizabeth McNeese Smith. Their children are: Lucille Smith (Cluck), ( Nelda Mae (Davis), and her twin who died at birth; Julia Ette (Wright), Eula Bethsheba (Myrick Dedear), and Charlie Russell Smith (Pearl).

Julia was a talented musician, and played the guitar and her beloved organ all the time. She could hear a song and then play in back on her organ.
