Although her death certificate lists Duquesne as the place of birth, Duquesne was not incorporated until 1891. Prior to that time, it was Mifflin township.
Mrs. Eva Miller Stinner, aged 63 years, sister of the Misses Elizabeth and Margaret Miller, Mrs. John Hastings, Sr., and the late John Miller, all of this city, died Sunday morning at her home in 1716 Soles street, McKeesport following a lingering illness of several yeaars. She had been a resident of McKeesport for the past three years and prior to her removal to that city, residing in Erwin street. She is survived by three daughters Helen and Dora Stinner, at home and Mrs. William Sylvester, of Jersey City, N.J.; two sons, Raymond Stinner, of McKeesport and Sylvester Stinner, of Indianapolis, Ind; two brothers, George Miller and Peter Shipe, both of Homestead; seven sisters, the above mentioned ones and Miss Catherine Miller, of Homestead; Mrs. Catherine Linn, of Thompson Run; Mrs. John Bain, of Braddock; and Mrs. Peter Abel, of Dravosburg. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Joseph's Catholic church, with the Rev. Father A. Vogel, pastor, officiating. Interment was made in St. Joseph's cemetery.
