Bevans. Ellison d. 1875 and Mary Eliza Bevans, m. 2nd., Jan. 14, 1877, in Cairo, Louisa co., Iowa, James S. Marshall and she was living at Kirwin, Phillips co., Kansas in 1895 and at Osceola, Iowa in 1905.

Robert E. Bevans served in Co. C, 103 reg't Illinois Infantry. He enlisted August 12, 1862 and was discharged June 21, 1865. Lived in Peoria co., Illinois from childhood until moving in 1866 Des Moines co., Iowa. He was a cousin of Samuel George of Wiota Iowa. His parents, R. E. Bevans & wife Mary E. sold a half acre plot of land to Richard Bennett in the Bridges addition to Kossuth, Des Moines co., recorded on March 13, 1874 for the sum of $140.00 dollars. Robert d. in fall of 1875, near Mediapolis, Des Moines co., Iowa; Union/Linn Grove cemetery, Des Moines co., Iowa - R. E. Bevans, Co. C - 103 Div. Ill, Inf.
