b. December 9, 1815, Fayette co. Pennsylvania. Assume he migrated to Ohio when his parents when still a youngster and grew to manhood in Highland co., Ohio on the family farm. Migrated with his parents to Elmwood, Peoria, Illinois in the 30's. m. May 2, 1839, Peoria co., Illinois, Mary Ann Shepard, b. 1820, Ohio. Removed with his family to Clarke co. Iowa. Mary Ann Bevans d. February 16, 1878, ae 57 years, 9 months & 6 days, buried Gregg cemetery, Clarke co., Iowa. Jesse d. October 9, 1888, at the age of 72 years and 10 months, at Weldon, (on the Clarke/Decatur co., line) Iowa. Burial was in Pine cemetery, Clarke co., Iowa.
