Clara, the daughter of George and Nellie Armstrong of Willow Springs, was born August 26, 1902. She died at her home Oct. 28, 1914, aged 12 years, 2 months and 1 day. The funeral was held October 29 from the Catholic church in Darlington, Rev. Fr. Nevin officiating, and burial was made in the Darlington Catholic Cemetery.
Clara's brief span of life was passed with her parents on the farm in Willow Springs. She attended the district school, where she was a general favorite among her playmates.
In the flower of her girlhood, she was called from Earth to Heaven, where she will await the coming of those she loved and left behind. Clara loved her life on Earth, but she has gone to a better life beyond the grave. Those left behind grieve at the parting but are cheered by the certainty of reunion after a little while.
